Has Japan’s effort to bring in more workers in other industries made you consider other options?

A month or so ago there was this news:

With a government supported push for more foreign labor in other industries like agriculture, nursing, transportation, etc. Have any of you looked into these as potential new avenues to "get out of English teaching"?

I'm just curious if these fields would offer better pay and working environment than the English teaching industry here.
