I was thinking about this yesterday after listening to the keeping up strong style podcast. The world title situation for the dome is interesting in terms of who will be walking in as champion and who will be the challenger. But ignoring the main title picture. The other major titles are somewhat in the same predicament.
●Global Title: Finlay is the current champion. And I can't think of a single interesting match for him. He's practically fought everyone. And it would just be another repeated match against either a young guy or a veteran like Goto if he's not in the tag title picture.
●Jr Title: Douki is champion and his next challenger is Ishimori. Hiromu and Despy are out of the title picture for the moment. And Yoh & Wato are out with injury. The only interesting challenger that would be free is Akira. But I don't feel like that match is big enough for Wk.
●Jr Tag Titles: Easiest one to predict actually. Either they go with TMDK vs War Dogs or a Multiman man match for the dome.
●Never Title: Hiromu is challenging for the title with a high chance of winning. But henare is a fresh champion and him in a singles match at the dome against someone like Gabe kidd would be a great spot for him. If hiromu wins then what does Henare do after the year he's had. Hiromu is doing his losing story so it would make sense for him to not win.
TV Title: Kind of easy somewhat. Anyone can face Cobb for the title.
IWGP Tag Titles: TMDK are the current champion but the division is lacking any interesting teams. Either a repeated match against Bishamon or a nee team like Sanada/Taichi at the Dome.
