Now that the G1 is over, I decided to take a look at the total attendance and compare it to last year's to see how it stacks up. New Japan typically runs the same building in most cities, but where they don't, I made note of that next to the city itself.

- Night 13 – Yokohama (2,906)
- Night 14 – Sendai (2,631)
- Night 15 – Nagaoka (3,022)
- Night 16 – Hamamatsu (1,607)
- Night 17 – Chiba, Makuhari Messe (1,111)
- Night 18 – Tokyo, Ryogoku (5,340)
- Night 19 – Tokyo, Ryogoku (8,056)
Total Attendance = 48,683
So as we can see, total attendance was down by approximately 9% year on year. That doesn't look good on paper, but New Japan decided to run some shows at smaller arenas this year with no Sapporo dates. For instance, last year's G1 show in Chiba was at the Funabashi Arena, but this year's Chiba show was at the much smaller Makuhari Messe in a different part of the prefecture. Some of the cities saw notable increases year on year (Nagaoka, Yokohama, Osaka, Sendai), whereas some saw slight to moderate decreases (Hamamatsu, Nagoya, Takamatsu).
