Hi there,
My Japanese is very basic, I have been learning but it is nowhere near what I would like it to be. I was thinking in the next year or so moving to Japan however.
I have taught in Montessori schools in the US, substitute in public school, and in private music schools, and have my own private music studio from my home for the last 10 years. I do not have a teaching license however and again, my Japanese is very limited.
How would it work as a private teacher there? Would I just advertise in public boards to get students and I’m guessing it would be best to live near a major city? Would it be useless and I should just apply to teach English or try for a school? Is it normal in Japan to have private piano/music teachers from home as well? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
