Hey everyone!
I’ll be visiting Tokyo for the first time with my girlfriend this November (we're both 26), and we’ve planned a 3-day itinerary. We’ll be staying at the Cerulean Tower Hotel in Shibuya and would love your feedback or suggestions to make it even better! We want to make sure we hit all the must-see spots, but we're also looking for some time to relax and explore. We don't drink, eat pork, or enjoy seafood much. Also, we’re not big into malls, so we’ve kept that to a minimum.
Here’s what we’ve come up with:
Day 1: Shibuya, Harajuku, and Shinjuku (November 27)
- 8:30 AM – 9:15 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
- 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Shibuya Crossing & Hachiko Statue.
- 10:45 AM – 12:00 PM: Explore Takeshita Street, Harajuku.
- 12:15 PM – 12:45 PM: Lunch at Afuri Ramen (open to suggestions!).
- 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Meiji Shrine.
- 2:45 PM – 3:30 PM: Relax at Yoyogi Park.
- 3:45 PM – 5:00 PM: Shibuya Sky at sunset.
- 5:15 PM – 6:30 PM: Dinner at Torikizoku, Shinjuku.
- 6:45 PM – 8:15 PM: Explore Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (if open).
- 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM: Explore Shinjuku Golden Gai (just walking around).
Day 2: Asakusa, Ueno, and Akihabara (November 28)
- 8:30 AM – 9:15 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
- 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Senso-ji Temple & Nakamise Street, Asakusa.
- 11:45 AM – 12:15 PM: Lunch at Daikokuya Tendon (open to other ideas too).
- 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Ueno Park & Ameya-Yokocho Market.
- 2:15 PM – 4:15 PM: Akihabara (we’re not hardcore gamers but want to check it out).
- 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Dinner at Coco Ichibanya.
- 5:45 PM – 7:15 PM: Tokyo Skytree (observation deck).
- 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM: Explore Asakusa Night Market (if available).
Day 3: Odaiba and Traditional Neighborhoods (November 29)
- 8:30 AM – 9:15 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
- 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM: TeamLab Planets.
- 11:15 AM – 11:45 AM: Lunch at Kua Aina Odaiba.
- 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Rainbow Bridge walk (seems relaxing!).
- 1:15 PM – 2:30 PM: Inokashira Park, Kichijoji (thinking of a boat ride).
- 2:45 PM – 4:00 PM: Explore Shimokitazawa (looks like a fun neighborhood).
- 4:15 PM – 5:30 PM: Café break in Shimokitazawa.
- 5:45 PM – 7:00 PM: Dinner at Ramen Nagi (back in Shibuya).
- 7:15 PM – 8:30 PM: Tokyo Tower (is this better at night or should we swap with Skytree?).
Questions:
- Are there any must-see spots we're missing for first-timers?
- Do we need more time in certain areas? Or should we drop anything?
- Is it better to stay at the Cerulean Tower (Shibuya) or Hotel New Otani (Akasaka) based on this itinerary?
- Any restaurant recommendations for someone who doesn’t eat pork or seafood?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks! 😊
