Hey everyone. Sorry for the basic question, but I’ve been searching about sims, esims, and phone plans on line and the information is very confusing so I thought I’d try here.
I currently have an iPhone 14 Plus from the United States. When I went to my Verizon store to cancel my plan, they told me that I will not be able to use my 14 at all in Japan, eSIM or not, and that I would have to buy a new Japanese iPhone if I wanted to continue using Apple.
Is this true? Does anyone have recent experience with bringing a recent American iPhone to Japan and being able to continue using it? I normally use Apple products because the convenience of switching all my info over, but I really did not want to add another post-arrival expense and task to my growing list.
