Umino, Narita, Uemura, Oiwa and Tsuji are all promising talents. All great. They should all be pushed on top of the card, trading wins and loses to eachother. Oleg too, but that’s by the by. Could be something to splitting all 5 of them off into feuds, where everyone has their favourite (Umino for me) and least favourite (Tsuji just doesn’t do as much as the other four do for me and people here wildly overrating him hasn’t helped), but they’re all either holding a belt or preparing to challenge one. I think the days of the Okada style Ace was less an inevitable way to book and more just a side effect that he and Naito were the only native, homegrown heavyweights to work during this era.
