I felt Nostalgic after looking at a post regarding new japan in 2018 with the Elite/Bullet Club Ogs story(Shit was a mess). I want to focus on the creativity of Jay White in Chaos.
From January of 2018 to September 2018. One of the main talents the company were building was The Switchblade. When he fought The Ace(Now President) at Wk12 it wasn't great and didn't feel like that expected breakout match for him. But once he got into the feud with Kenny and joining Chaos it was the catalyst for his development if it is was little by little.
When Jay joined Choas the group was at their peak. They were dripping in Gold. Okada was the final Boss especially after beating Naito at Wk12. And then we had Ospreay junior champ,Goto never champ, Roppongi 3k junior tag Champs. The big piece of 2018 with Okada on top he was at his most cocky bastard phase.
When Jay told him straight up he'd go after the IWGP Title. He laughed and didn't take Jay seriously. He got too comfortable. Jay won the US title and made the group seem every more stronger with them dripping in gold. Jay was contempted being in the group while they were winning and showing results.
Once we hit Dominion and the G1, Jay had shown much more heel work and character with the Juice match and then he took advantage of Okada and Tana in the G1 scoring wins against them. Then then the Iconic turn against Okada at his weakest(Balloon Okada) and having Gedo turn on him. It made Jay the biggest heel in the company at that point.
