I've spoken to some family friends whose daughter had been a therapist who worked as a govt contractor at military bases in several countries, honestly an option I never once considered but am seriously considering now, that I've got a few years of experience and can broaden my career.
Does anyone have particular experience working on a US base as a non-serviceman? What are the restrictions, for instance, for leaving the base? Using the internet? Using one's phone? Purchasing goods off-base? Is it a pipedream to expect any kind of reasonable freedom, or would I more or less be confined to the base?
