Looking for a wood play center in Osaka that is NOT your typical play room.
Years ago there was a wood play center in Himeji that had a big area with unique wooden toys.
It’s hard to see in these (bad quality) photos, but the toys weren’t just wooden puzzles, they were more like joint pieces that required thinking and allowed kids and adults to create something really special and interesting.
Some fitted in only certain pieces, some could be stacked, some were connection type, there was a big variety and the key point was that there were so many of each type that you could literally stay there for 4 hours and make something gigantic or they each and every station and try different types of jointers.
It was really special.
I’ve been to other rooms with similar wood theme but not really like that.
It is a govt sponsored playroom so it was cheap and with unlimited play time.
There’s a carpentry tool museum in Kobe that has wood workshops, but they are expensive, short and more like “let’s make this and that”, not free play.
I still recommend it, good place and nice exhibits, but it’s not the same.
Is there something like that in Osaka?
Is there anything in Osaka that’s cheap, free play and special?
Recommendations would be appreciated.
