House in Arashiyama vs Ichijoji Train Station

Hi, Looking to purchase house either in Arashiyama or near Ichijoji Train Station. It seems like the house in Arashiyama near the Togetsukyo Bridge is alot more reasonable in price and condition than Ichijoji. Does anyone have any insight why this would be?
