Does a health check-up involve a drug test?

Bit of a weird question but might be a breath of fresh air from all the visa and 'should I move' questions.

I'll start my new job in Japan around March next year. In some conversations I heard a health check-up mentioned in passing as part of orientation and wondered if this typically involves a drug test.

I will be taking a short trip to California next week and am interested in trying weed edibles ONCE. Never used before and don't plan on continuing.

Obviously there's also a couple of months in between where it would be out my system anyway as a one off thing but thought I'd get opinions here.
