Japan J-Find Visa Enquiry

Hello everyone,

I’m currently planning my educational and professional path in Japan, and have a couple of questions regarding the J-Find visa. First, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), which is ranked within the top 100 and is recognised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Japan for the J-Find visa. However, I’m now considering pursuing a Master’s degree in Japan at a university that may not be within the top 100 rankings. Will obtaining a Master’s degree from a lower-ranked university affect my eligibility for the J-Find visa (or in other words, override the top 100 bachelor degree status), even if I apply within five years of completing my Bachelor’s degree?

Additionally, I’m contemplating enrolling in a Japanese language school under a student visa as an alternative route. If I follow this path, could graduating from the language school potentially allow me to transition to the J-Find visa for job-seeking purposes in Japan afterward?

Any insights, advice, or experiences on either scenario would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help.
