I can't lie my first thought looking at the teams involved for tag league didn't excite that much. But as the shows continued and the matches being pretty damn good. I'd say this tournament delivered.
Ichiban Sweet Boyz vs War Dogs was easily the best tag match in new japan this year. And we had some damn good bouta involving Catch 2/2 who was also a massive highlight this tournament and Rocky & Yoh. Jet Setters are consistenly good with their work and chemistry.
Ishimori & Robbie X suprised me with how well their chemistry was in the ring. Robbie definitely has a style that makes him standout. But i still think he's missing a character to make me care for him. I hope their not a one & done team.
The velocities is another team that is good and definitely have potential. They are another team i'd like to see more of. Hopefully they join a faction as pure babyfaces. Lij team is good but it feels like a placeholder for hiromu before they most likely announce his match with Naito for the dome.
I'd give it a watch if you have not watched tag league already. A solid B for it's matches and some good story matches.
