  1. What’s the name? My mom (who is mexican american) would get a huge kick out of trying Mexican food in Japan, haha.

  2. Is this place better than La Taco by Kyodai? I am a La Taco stan so I will need a lot of convincing!

  3. Noma’s cooking team said they love that place. Very authentic.
There’s another good Mexican restaurant very close to this one, Cocina ÓRALE!

  4. As a Mexican living in Japan, the best tacos I’ve tried in the entire country are called Lataco in Tanaka Monzencho 😋

  5. I’ve walked by there and it looked great, I gotta go! Someone was trying to recommend it to me too and I could tell where they meant just by the description of the bird. Love your painting, I’m sure the owners appreciated it.

  6. Arrived in Kyoto today and just happened to see your post so we went. Best tacos I’ve had outside of California. Thanks for the tip! We’ll be back.

  7. This is the best thread I didn’t know I needed.
    Thanks everyone for sharing knowledge.
All I know is Que Pasa

  8. Taqueria Tacos is good. That being said, their “Carnitas” really isn’t carnitas, and is more like regular pork. They offer beef, pork, chicken, and lamb tacos. Of the options, I think their beef taco is a clear cut above the others.

While this is certainly a good place to go to for tacos, I think Taqueria La Fonda in Osaka is overall a better choice.
