So i know person X who has 2 passports. He has Dutch and Turkish citizenships by birth. He is born, raised, and educated in the Netherlands and has almost no connections to Turkey. He is now thinking to go start a business in Japan, but he also wants citizenship. He thinks its not smart to give away his dutch nationality, so he is planning to go with his Turkish passport. He has never been to Japan, so if he would go to Japan, he is thinking of getting a tourist visa with his Turkish passport first, to see japan before getting the business manager visa. He thinks that this will make it more convincing that he has only 1 citizenship, because someone from EU could go to Japan without a visa. After 5 years of living in Japan with the business manager visa, he can apply for PR, and after 5 years of PR he can apply for citizenship. If he declares that he will renounce of his Turkish citizenship, will there be a chance that they know that he also has Dutch citizenship. Note that he is born, raised, and educated in the Netherlands. Also, ive read that people who are born dual citizenship dont have hard enforcement on giving up dual nationality if they are born with it, would he be in the same category if he was able to replace his Turkish citizenship with Japanese? He is also married to an Indonesian woman, so he is thinking of getting a spouse visa, so when he wants to use his Dutch passport, he will go to Indonesia with Japanese passport and from there he will use his Dutch passport to go the EU. I ask this all because it sounds like a waterproof plan and im interested on if he could make this work and if there would be better options for his plan.
