Hello!
I am just about to finish my Bachelor's in my home country and have been looking to further my education elsewhere. During my exchange term in Hong Kong, I visited Japan and absolutely fell in love with the country, which reawakened an old dream of mine to one day live there!
So! I have been looking into attending language school for about two years, with the term starting in October. If I am not mistaken, the general time of entry for a student visa issued for this purpose would be about 2-3 weeks prior to the actual start of the term. However, I am kind of itching to go back earlier – specifically to do a working holiday during the summer months.
My question then is if anybody here has had some experience with this transition/duality of visas. Is it possible, to your knowledge, to enter on a working holiday visa and then to either leave and re-enter on a student visa, or to transition to one on the spot? Or is it not possible to "hold" (?) two visas at the same time? I am fine with leaving the country for a week or so, but I am not sure I can afford to go all the way back to Sweden in order to "reset".
". If not, is there any other alternative?
