Man, I wasn't sure NJPW would try it. But I think they were testing if heel Shota would work considering those moments where like it felt we were watching a double turn go down, even if Zack wasn't acting the nicest. Though Zack near the end did the face fired-up scream. So like, even if it wasn't an actual double turn…it seems like Shota is going to go heel and I'm intrigued how it will go.
(Also Zack getting cheered over Shota was hilarious, like, even in the finish of the match the crowd wanted Shota out of their sight lmao)
