Hi, im looking to get an idea of hospital surgery costs. I am wondering what the cost of Eustachian tube balloon dilation would be for someone on a working holiday visa. The waiting times in my country for this are over 12 months and am not able to wait that long so im looking for an Asian country to move to primarily for healthcare and other countries nearby the prices are too high or not disclosed. Im guessing it would be quite expensive here aswell? Whats everyones experiences so far. Cheers.

I’ve had multiple surgeries here at Heart Life hospital and the care has been great and they were a lot cheaper than I was expecting. Last two surgeries I was able to be scheduled within a week or two. As for the cost of that particular surgery, no clue. That’s for you to discuss with the doctors.
I stayed at a Hospital for 5 days. I got CT scans, MRI, blood work, and an angiogram. Also three meals a day and it was a private room. Total cost was $2,500. This bill would have been an easy 30-40k in the USA.
Based on my experience at hospitals in Okinawa and Yokohama I would say do it. You will be surprised at how inexpensive it will be even without insurance.
