For those disillusioned with the Wrestle Dynasty card (like me), how would you book a co-promoted show like this?

Disillusioned with the (in my opinion) lacklustre Wrestle Dynasty card, I decided to book my own. I'm curious to know how other people would book a co-promoted show like this.

My version of Wrestle Dynasty exists almost fully independent of Wrestle Kingdom 19, focusing on cross-promotion matchups. I stuck to nine matches and tried to stay grounded in semi-realism, but your card can take whatever shape you want it to.

  • First Match: Atlantis Jr., Máscara Dorada y Volador Jr. vs. Hechicero, Rocky Romero y Soberano Jr.

Starting the main card is a six-man tag team match between six of the best luchadores. Hechicero gets the win ahead of a rubber match against Zack Sabre Jr. at Battle in the Valley.

  • Second Match: Don Callis Family (Brian Cage, Kyle Fletcher y Lance Archer) vs. United Empire (Great-O-Khan, Templario y Will Ospreay)

Will Ospreay returns to the United Empire, teaming with co-founder Great-O-Khan and new recruit Templario to defeat the Don Callis Family once and for all, ending the feud.

  • Third Match: International Women’s Cup final – Athena vs. Momo Watanabe vs. Persephone vs. Willow Nightingale

A carry-over from the real-life Wrestle Dynasty, this match deserves better placement than the first kickoff match. And if I were booking, I'd have the winner make a challenge later in the show.

  • Fourth Match: CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship – Averno (c) vs. Místico

After losing to Hiromu Takahashi at King of Pro-Wrestling, I wanted to book Místico strongly here. What better way to return than moving up weight classes and defeating Averno to win the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship? Splendid.

  • Fifth Match: NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship & RevPro Undisputed British Women's Championship – Mercedes Moné (STRONG) vs. Mina Shirakawa (British)

10/10, no notes.

  • Sixth Match: NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship – Gabe Kidd (c) vs. MJF

Man, I wish Eddie Kingston was healthy… I struggled to choose an opponent for Gabe Kidd, eventually landing on MJF – who I think could win the STRONG Openweight Championship and defend it globally as we briefly saw in the summer.

  • Seventh Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi y Kenny Omega vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson y Nick Jackson)

EVIL versus Hiroshi Tanahashi in a lumberjack match with a retirement stipulation is stupid. Sorry. This was the match to make from the start. How have we ended up anywhere but here?

  • Eighth Match: IWGP Women’s Championship – Mayu Iwatani (c) vs. AZM

Another carry-over, albeit from Wrestle Kingdom 19. This match is much more at home on this card, where it gets significantly better placement as the co-main event. As for the night prior, I'd look to add SANADA versus Taichi to the card.

  • Main Event: IWGP World Heavyweight Championship – Zack Sabre Jr. (c)/Shota Umino vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Konosuke Takeshita is more credible than Claudio Castagnoli/Ricochet, and I think having a singular title challenger is less predictable. Takeshita would fall short, but get his win back later.
