6 month working holiday

Hey all thanks in advance!

I'm (21 male, Australian resident + passport) considering taking a semester / 6 month break in my study as I'm a bit directionless at the moment and unsure if I'd like to continue my university course (either changing degree or going to vocational schooling)

Im looking at potentially spending that time on a working holiday in Japan and was looking for a bit of help on recognising the feasibility of it.

It looks like I may need a sponsor before heading to Japan? If so, in the event id like to move to / explore another area in Japan, is it possible to get a new sponsor in that area or will I need a new visa?

My previous working experience has been hospitality (previously a barista, and currently working in the craft beer industry), it looks like foreigners aren't allowed to work in bars / nightclubs. Is that true?

Aside from that, I'd love some advice / recommendations on how to reach out to potential sponsors as well as jobs that can accommodate a working holiday.
I'm ideally looking at jobs that give the opportunity to experience nightlife (cafe for example).

My Japanese language skills are okay-ish, I studied it all the way through highschool and study independently now (though I'd say I'm closer to a grade school student then fluent lol)

Thanks again for reading.

Tldr: 6 month work holiday as an Australian uni student with intermediate language skills, any tips / recommendations?
