31 year UK native with no degree or 10 years exp.
I didnt do my A levels after school(spent most of school messing around) went college for 3 years doing pretty useless courses for reason that im not going into, then worked unskilled jobs to the present day.
My plan is currently to study online to get A-levels Maths and Physics qualifications so I can apply for the English taught CS & electrical engineering undergrad programs at a University in Japan for the end of 2026 and then get a work visa and a job in the field after graduating. I would aim to work part time during the degree where possible although the degree would take priority ofcourse.
Id be moving with my partner (also a UK native) who has a degree and is eligible for a work visa.
We have both visited Japan for a couple of months and have been learning Japanese as well, we decided it would be a place we would like to move if possible however it seems im the biggest limiting factor, hence the plan I came up with.
Also would me being mid 30s when I graduate(assuming all goes as planned), would it cause issues for me finding work related to what I studied?
