Okinawa in March? Is it worth? HELP!

Going to Okinawa March 17th-April 2nd and we're worried about one thing: WEATHER! Will the weather be pleasant enough to do outdoor activities? The coast can get cold and we DON'T want to go all the way there just for it to be cloudy, cold and gloomy!

We want to explore the islands, the capes, the beaches, go to the aquarium and more..

Besides Naha, we want to visit Zamami Island, Aka Island and Guerma Island and do a snorkeling tour if we're able. But we don't want to freeze our butts off if we go in the ocean.. Please give me all your wisdom and knowledge arigatouuu! ~

  1. It would probably be better to just Google the weather patterns of the previous few years. Nobody here can really accurately tell you what it’s going to be like. As with other countries on the planet the weather changes quite frequently.

  2. I’m from Wisconsin. I’ve been too hot in Naha and Ishigaki the last three days.

  3. I’m just leaving Aka island. Snorkeled the day I arrived , rained the next day. And had an absolutely amazing snorkel today. Didn’t wear a wetsuit and was able to bear it for 1 1/2 . Wife had a wetsuit and was warm

  4. Should be ok. Perhaps only hot and humid but that’s expected from a sub tropical island
Typhoon season is from June- November

  5. No one knows if it will rain or be sunny, but in general, end of March is quite pleasant. You can actually be outside without immediately starting to sweat. The water’s still cold, but if you book a tour, you can rent a wetsuit.

  6. I’m here now it’s 70° in the sun and I swam yesterday. If you’re from the north it’s great and will just get warmer. Cherry blossoms are starting to bloom some are in full bloom near Naha.
