  1. Can someone explain prenominals to me in a dumbed down, easy to understand way? Or can someone recommend me some articles to read cuz I am seriously not understanding this.

  2. Are there any easy to use alternatives to Animelon for streaming anime with Japanese subs? I don’t really want to do a bunch of shuffling files around with downloading subtitles and feeding them into plugins and Animelon seems to be down right now. Are there any native-Japanese streaming services that Americans can sub to?

  3. can’t seem to find a clear explanation of when to use 何か vs もの to say thing/anything/something.

it seems like 何か (and どれか) are for *questions* about things (ex. 何か要る), and もの (and こと) would be for *statements* about things. (ex. 甘いものが好きです)

i did see examples of もの used in questions, as well. (ex. どんなものですか) but i think that example is saying ‘what kind of thing’ as opposed to just ‘what thing’

so am i missing anything, or is my deduction correct?

(also, the reason i mention どれか and こと is because they came up in questions comparing them to 何か and もの respectively. but i get how those pairs differentiate.)

  4. Maybe a dumb question but I can’t find the answer for some reason.

For formal negative な adjectives, is では pronounced dewa or deha?

  5. Why is 減り in 減り張り and 減り込む read as めり instead of へり?

Is it sort of like how 寂しい is さみしい and さびしい?

  6. spontaneously came up with this sentence to leave as a youtube comment and am wondering if it conveys the light-hearted meaning i intended. anyone care to weigh in? aligator!

  7. >カラオケの楽しむのに、上手も下手もないよ。

Always been curious if this type of thing is just a shortened version of

    カラオケの楽しむのに、上手も下手も、関係ないよ。

(Or perhaps some more appropriate substitute)
