>The controversial security footage comes from a scene in the film showing an inebriated Ito being dragged from a taxi into the hotel by the former TBS reporter.
Years ago, I asked the police to get involved in a situation where it appeared that a couple of girls had been coerced into a club by a couple of older men.
The weird thing about it, though, was that it almost seemed like their hesitation was some kind of false acting, and that I’d misread the situation.
Regardless, by the time that the police arrived, the women were already inside the club. The police then basically said that they had no authority to enter, and nothing else was done to check on the situation.
As for Itō’s handling of this, I think that she’s throwing everybody else under the bus in order to be in the limelight, and I completely side with her former lawyer.
She’s been told of the damage that it could do to similar cases, but she seems to be more interested in her own image.
She was also made to pay ¥550,000 in defamation damages after making an accusation, without evidence, of being drugged.
Edit: There will be some downvoters, I’m sure, but you can see her smug narcissism here:
She was an intern, looking for a job. That’s why the meeting happened in the first place.
Now, instead of doing actual work to help other women, she has written a book, produced and directed this film, and is parading around in front of cameras, no doubt profiting from it all.

There’s just no class about it at all.
