Catholic School Connections in Japan

Hello all, please forgive me if this post isn’t allowed.

I’m a teacher looking to set up a pen pal program between Catholic school students in America and Japan.

I know Japan tends to be very guarded, and I’ve sent a few emails without much of a response thus far. I’m traveling to Japan soon, and I’d like to visit a school there.

Does anyone have any advice for getting things set up? I’m a bit frustrated, and I’m not really sure where to turn.
