Is it okay to reuse the same SOP (in slightly modified form) that go you an interview in the past?

So I got an interview last year, but I wasn't ultimately chosen. Is it considered acceptable for me to submit pretty much the same SOP again? Does it have any impact past the interview stage? Thanks in advance.
