Spices, Shoes, and Bicycles. Oh My!

Okay this will cover a few topics. To preface, I have searched through the group and I'm seeking more options/information or am confused with what I found.
I'm in the process of packing and will be living in Japan for at least 2 years. I'll be anywhere within an hour from Waseda University in Tokyo.

Spices/Soup -> I'm a bit confused with what spices I should bring to Japan. I have found Dill is hard to come by but I garden and plan to grow at least some herbs (like dill). What are spices that I can't grow that I should bring? I plan to bring Tobasco. Also, when I search I only find a Japanese recipe; is there any canned cream of chicken available in Japan?

Shoes -> I am so confused with shoe sizes. Some info says my feet are too big but then some info says there would be shoes my size. In your experience, have you seen or bought women's size 9/9.5 shoes?

Bicycles -> I'll be getting a bike (hopefully used) to use for commuting to station/grocery shopping. I forget the name but there is a special type of bike for this. What is the name in Japanese writing? Also, how do I figure out the size of bike I need? I'm 5'6" but I have short legs.

Shipping Medications -> Has anyone had their prescription medications shipped to them from their home country into Japan? I've tried finding information on this but on the official website for importing medication I can only find when one brings it with them on the plane. Could anyone tell me their experience if they've done this and/or link where I can find official steps for shipping (via mail) meds into Japan? I already know and am in the process for certification of bringing in meds on the plane, I'm specifically interested in information for shipping via mail and/or shipping service (like FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc).

Okay, I think that's it.
