  7. At some point the lapses became the flavor of this match. I can’t imagine that was the intent, but the crowd was still so live for this it just made everything so much more fun.

    Can’t imagine a US crowd not going full “please retire” nerdy angst over this.

  8. It’d be funny if Makabe pulled a Drew McIntyre over Tanahashi blowing the finish to their match.

  9. Apparently KENTA named his finishing move the Goto Sleep, in honour of the greatest wrestler of our generation. Also, someone misheard him and reported it as the Go To Sleep

  28. I don’t care for the Bucks, but credit where it’s due, they wanted to work NJPW and put the effort in. Really fun match here, and this is good for both Hiromu and Naito.
