Hey,
I know this question gets asked a lot, but I couldn't find a direct answer for my specific region, so I figured I'd ask.
Like the title says, I'm moving to Nagasaki in a month for a few years to study on a scholarship, and I'm looking for a good SIM card for long-term residents. I’ve heard that some people have had issues with certain providers in Kyushu, so I wanted to check before committing to one.
Also, will I be able to get a SIM card at the airport with just my residence card, or do I have to wait until I register at the shiyakusho? (Just wanted to clear this up.) If it's the latter, any recommendations for short-term options with unlimited data? My phone isn’t eSIM compatible, by the way.
Thanks, and sorry for the long post! Any advice about life in Kyushu/Nagasaki would also be appreciated.
P.S. This is my first time traveling overseas.
