I’m looking for an apartment to rent. I’m arriving in Japan on March 23rd and starting work on April 1st. Some real estate agencies allow me to sign a contract and secure an apartment even before I move to Japan, but I’m not sure if I want to commit to a place I haven’t visited.
Do you think it’s feasible to find an apartment between March 23rd and April 1st? Can I just go to a real estate agency, have an agent take me to visit apartments, and move in on the same day? Or do you think that’s too risky?
My place of work is 錦糸町駅 – Tokyo.
I have Japanese citizenship.
