I'm currently in the midst of applying for a semester long study abroad in Japan, and I was wondering if anyone had any insights into the pros and cons of different universities.
I'm studying electrical engineering, which is why I was initially leaning towards Tokyo Tech, but I've also heard good things about University of Tokyo, which is why I wanted to ask for some advice.
I don't have a high level of Japanese, but I'll be studying it until before I leave, which will probably be next year around April. There are a good amount of exchange programs offered by my university, but my main preference is that I want to be in Tokyo, and I want to study at a school with at least a decent engineering program.
My university is pretty lax about who they nominate for exchange programs, and they've said that they'll try to get all of the students their top choices.
