Is moving to Japan realistic for my case?

I've been considering setting a goal on moving to Japan in about 3 or 4 years, I'd like to have your opinions on if I'm being realistic or would that just be a waste of time given my qualifications.

Currently;

33 years old. Single male.

Undergraduate > Electric & Electronics Engineering.

Master's > Computer Engineering

High GPA, bunch of publications on my name.

Fluent English + native language.

No work experience on the field, I completely ignored my career so far whatsoever, was enjoying myself with wide variety of freelance work (graphics/website design, small programming tasks, teaching, trading online currencies etc.) within my personal network, however, I doubt I can properly list these on a CV, as they'd lack formal citations.

In 3 or 4 years;

I will be 36-37 years old.

Doctorate > Electric & Electronics Engineering

2-3 years of in field work experience.

N1 Japanese.

Honestly currently I have a comfy life, as I own my house and have a supportive family, but I've recently come to the realization that I need to leave my country if I'm to be happy for the rest of my life, as I truly dislike the people in my country, and after putting some thought Japan is the only country I'd like settle in (if possible.)

Thanks for the reading, I’d appreciate your insights.
