The US should lose infrastructure by Japan not allowing anything to be exported to the US. Which is what they should do. This was all caused by companies that drop shipped from China such as Apple. Instead of the US shutting down companies they would rather hurt other countries that are Allies.
This seems downright evil to do to a country.
Japan could inflict damage to the US by selling its treasuries. Don’t think Trump thought about that one. Japan and China could team up and unwind their holdings.
Japanese carmakers have the strongest manufacturing footprint of any other foreign brands operating in the US
Yes these freaking tariffs will hurt but they could relatively easily ramp up local production in the States to compensate
I think this is likely to hurt the suppliers. The whole vehicles are already made in America. I think nearly all Hondas and the vast majority of Toyotas. So I think it will be about the parts and whether or not some of the big suppliers move production into the US. If some major suppliers make some commitments, will that end the tariffs? That’s unclear. What does this do to the retail price of the whole vehicle?
Fascist Trump is a financial genius! Just you wait… (Sarcasm).
