Hello friends! I have a bit of a dilemma and would like a second opinion, so I’m a student and applied for my COE in february, and it got issued yesterday (april 17th). I am traveling to Japan for my classes on May 17th, but there are currently no available appointments at the New York consulate until may 13th. So, my school has told me to just mail in the application so I can receive my visa on time.
I wanted to know if anyone else has experience with this, does anyone know of anything I can do in this situation? It’s pretty stressful, and I’m hesitant to mail my passport.
