I was recently offered an Assistant Professor position at a private university here in Japan, but, as usual, they didn’t mention the salary in the initial offer (classic Japan).
I have a PhD and 5 years of postdoc experience, and I’m trying to get a sense of the average salary range for this type of position at private universities. I know it can vary depending on the institution and location, but any insights or personal experiences would be super helpful!
