Hello everybody,
I needed an answer from residents since you guys must be much more experts than me in japanese culture
I am a tourist but only residents can answer this so please don’t delete my post.
Today i was at saiseki dori street and i saw a shop called « Hotpoint » at first i thought it was a hotpot restaurant or a wifi hotspot or even a translation of « onsen » so i looked with interest
Then i saw a women being grabbed and pushed into the building by a man (much older than her) she was hiding her face and seemed not wanting to go inside
I realized then that it was a sort of love hotel ??
So my question is : was the girl just going into a love hotel with a man (s3x worker?) and it’s a culture thing to hide her face and seem ashamed /shy in awkward situations like this
Or did i just witness a grape in plain day and did nothing like a piece of sh!t ?
Other people were witnessing with me but didn’t intevene too
Please help i feel awful

So you think you witnessed a crime and your first thought is to make a reddit post? Says more about you than anything I think
It’s not a cultural thing to be grabbed and pushed into a building let alone hiding one’s face and seemingly not wanting to go inside somewhere.
I’m curious…. what does your gut tell you you may have witnessed?
Japanese here. You witnessed the incident [at this location](https://maps.app.goo.gl/6uAfRjj27ztrF4Zh7), correct?
This establishment is what’s commonly referred to as a “fashion health” venue—essentially a mild form of brothel.
I don’t know the exact relationship between the two people, but I don’t believe one of them was a customer.
My guess is that they were the owner or manager of the brothel and a sex worker (an employee).
