Latin American family moving to Japan for work with 8 year old son. Good idea?

Hi! Our family is from Latin America (but currently living in the UK), husband and son speak fluent English while wife speaks limited English but fluent Spanish. Husband has received an offer for a tech job in central Tokyo with the highly skilled worker visa category. Salary is 10M JPY/year which is just slightly higher than UK. We have researched that International schools are 2-3 M JPY per year (plus other expenses) which would men a huge chunk of husband's salary. Unsure if wife will be able to work (possibly not). We think this is barely feasible so we are very unsure about going. Will we have enough to rent a decent apartment? To save? We are not big at eating outside or ordering food. We are big on saving. Any of your insights, advice or experiences would be much appreciated. Were to live? What school would actually work for us?, with this budget? We've been reading previous posts but would love to hear from you who know! Thank you/
