My girlfriend is currently working under the JET Programme, with her contract ending in July. Her J-Find visa was recently processed, which allows her to stay in Japan for up to 2 years to job hunt or prepare for a business. The problem is, the J-Find was processed earlier than expected.
Immigration informed her that she cannot continue working under JET now that her J-FIND visa is active, which is earlier than expected. She was hoping to finish her last two months of work and collect her final salary.
Is there any way she can legally continue her JET job until July with the new J-FIND visa, or does she need to stop working immediately? Can the start date of the J-FIND visa be delayed, or is there another solution?
