Information about a restaurant in Ikeda region

Went to this restaurant in Ikeda region in 2023 and was certainly the best meal i had during my trip.
Checking on google maps its adress was: 2-chōme-7-16 Iguchidō, Ikeda, Osaka 563-0023, Japan.
It used to have a page in maps but it doesnt have anymore.
I think it only served tirashi (that you would order before entering by choosing the size of the rice pot) and was operated by an elderly couple.
If anyone knows if its still open or why it closed I would be very grateful.
Thanks!

  1. I am genuinely curious as to your thought process on this. In all my years of traveling and going to some amazing places in Japan and the rest of the world. Not once have I ever given a second thought to a place of business. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been to some wonderful restaurants and have some special memories from a few. But I can’t say checking in on a place I went to in another country and wondered why it might have closed has never crossed my mind.

Even if I tried to go back to a place here in Japan that I really liked and it was closed I would just be “ah well, that sucks.” and move on. Shit happens, what does me knowing why a placed closed or changed help them or me in any way?

I’m really not trying to be an ass here, I’m really curious why someone wants to know about a super common looking restaurant on the other side of the world.

  2. Hate when places that gave me one of a kind experiences close their doors. Good luck finding out if they opened in a new location!
