Okinawa man accused of raping girl in Saitama public toilet not prosecuted

1. No protests for this one. Nothing to see here, no American involved.

2. Funniest thing, and biggest hypocrisy, I ever seen while in Okinawa was a protest against the bases on on side if the street at the main gate to Kadena on 58. On the other side of the street was a protest against the laying off of a bunch of workers from the old milk plant !

   Once a job came up for a local on base and my brother in law wanted me to put in a good word for him (yes. Wife is Okinawan). I called the guy and told him why I was calling. He laughed and said he had been on the phone all day with calls about referring someone for the job. So many he had not been able to even look at the applications!

   Most folks who want the bases closed are main landers and some radical politicians

3. For all those who like to comment on protests in Okinawa or coverage about American crimes on the island. Saitama is not in Okinawa, it is a different place. It is also in the news, so the “they never report local people who commit crimes” is not valid, there is plenty of local crime reports in Japan, it is just in Japanese.
