Hello!
I (32f) am Japanese, and my husband (34m) is a foreigner. We are currently living in his country but considering to relocate to Japan and to have a family there.
Both of us have a decent career and salary in this country but still not enough to build the life we want considering very limited school choices/high education cost/ job market in this country.
If we were to move to Japan, I should be able to get a job (>10M) in my expertise or just use internal mobility in the current company but in Tokyo. We don’t need to pay rent as well.
For him, I’m not too sure how it goes. He is currently a COO of a small company with below 100 employees and I’m wondering if he can get a management position in Japan at MNC as non-Japanese speaker. Even though his title is COO, it’s a small company so very hands-on type. So I’m afraid he may be too junior to get a position as non-Japanese speaker. (He’s open with non-managerial roles as well but just wants a good career)
Job market for native and foreigner are very different, so I wanted to seek your advice, especially on how he can build a promising career in Japan as non-Japanese speaker. (He’s learning but still at elementary level)
