This is seriously messed up.
This is how insane life is. Timing is everything.
Not wearing shoes was a prominent point in the article. It’s said people who commit suicide by jumping from a building take off their shoes first. But if he fell from his home, there’s a high chance he didn’t have his shoes on in the first place.
43rd floor…… Jeeesus…
Long way up, rip to the 2 old folks
Double kill /s
Japan needs to legalize assisted suicide.
I’m sorry, but some of these jumpers killing innocent people going about their day or jumping in front of trains and traumatizing crowds of people is sickening. When I lived in the city, after somebody jumped off a building I often went to (in the middle of the nightlife district on a Saturday night), I spent the next month or so looking up as I walked just in case. Terrible.
If they’re going to do it anyway, give them a pathway to do it safely and peacefully. If they gotta be hospitalized first and wait 7 days and undergo counselling to attempt to help them out of their funk before they can proceed, fine. Mental healthcare in Japan is so far behind most of the rest of the developed world.
RIP. Same situation as the [Yokohama incident late last year](https://www.asahi.com/ajw/articles/15489310).
