Kanagawa Police doing everything they could do = doing nothing at all.
This isn’t the first time police did nothing about a stalker leading to assault or murder. All they can really do is talk to the stalker, even if they bother doing that.
Isn’t this like month old news at this point?
This is so common all over the world. You’re supposed to wait until someone breaks the law before they can be arrested. But, someone can begin a reign of terror over someone else without laying a finger on them, and it’s this grey area where, an officer can talk to them, but make no moves against them. So then the stalker can escalate and if it gets physical, they’ve already worked themselves into that state. Then the victim becomes a victim.
There’s got to be a solution before those last steps.
