Part-time work contracts (and breaking them)

Hey y'all

I've moved here on a working holiday in April and am looking for some part-time slop jobs to earn some cash to supplement it all. I've been looking through HelloWork and they've provided me with some job openings, but the kicker is that I will probably need to move back to Canada in September or October. This was kind of sudden, but it is because my partner got accepted to a college back in Canada, so I would like to go back with her and am probably (likely) not going to stay in Japan for the entire duration of my Visa.

Would it still be wise/advisable to go through with those contracts? Should I try to find more work through other agencies, or any pathways to find some work with three month contracts? Should I apply and be straight-up with them, or should I keep it on the down-low until the time is up? Is it generally negotiable? Maybe some other places through which I could find more temporary work? Anyone with experience on those fronts? Would love to hear any and all thoughts.

Currently living in Yokohama, by the way.
