Hi everyone!
I just received my Japanese visa as a dependent (G) and I’m flying to Japan on June 17. My wife, who is already in Japan, received the COE and sent me a PDF copy. I used this PDF to apply for my visa at the consulate in Brazil, and it was accepted with no problems.
My question is: do I need the original COE when I arrive in Japan, or is the printed PDF copy enough for immigration?
The original COE is still with my wife in Japan, and there may not be enough time for it to arrive by mail before my trip.
Has anyone here entered Japan recently using only a printed PDF of the COE? Was everything okay at immigration?
