I intend to study in Japan for 6 months through a doctorate internship program. What things should I know before going?

I study in a field that Japan is well-known for, with many strong universities actively engaged in research. I plan to join one of its labs and conduct my research there for six months. However, as a Black Brazilian, I’m worried about not being accepted.
