Hi everyone,
I’d like to get some advice and opinions on my plan to move to Japan at 35 years old. I have 10 years of experience in supply chain management in my home country, and I currently hold the N2 level of Japanese. My plan is to attend a Japanese language school in the mornings to reach N1, and then pursue an MBA in the evenings.
My goal is to integrate into the Japanese job market and eventually secure a full-time position in my field. However, I’m concerned that, despite my motivation and effort, I might be too optimistic and that at my age, my chances of progressing might actually be quite limited.
Do you think that at 35, a person no longer has a reasonable chance to advance significantly? Or is it still possible to build a meaningful career in Japan at this stage?
I’d really appreciate any insights or personal experiences you could share.
Thank you in advance for your help.
