Falsely accused of a crime in America. Not guilty. Would this be a problem in Japan?

I previously worked in Japan for 2 years at an eikaiwa. I came back to America to pursue teaching, and got a bachelor's in elementary education. While looking for jobs, I did some substitute teacher work. A teacher accused me of misconduct with a student. The truth finally came out and I'm now not guilty. But seeing the state of education in America, I don't even want to go back into that.

Now, I contacted my former boss. He knows my character and knows I did nothing wrong. He seems to think I would have no problem coming back, and perhaps in a few months, I might be joining his school again.

Even though I'm not guilty, a quick Google search of my legal name brings up my arrest articles. Though my former employer isn't worried about it, I'm concerned parents may Google my name and cause trouble for both me and my employer. I don't want to be the cause of lost business.

But I also know I want to teach. It's the only thing I've ever cared about. I'm pretty good at it if I can brag.

Do you think returning to Japan could be a good idea? I'd like to think of it as a reset.
