- I just went to USPS and got my finger prints done, but by the time I got home I realized that the FBI emailed my rejection letter saying the, " quality of the characteristics is too low to be used".
I've tried googling to see if I can get a refund/redo, but haven't had anything conclusive come up.
- Since being rejected, do I need to request a whole new background check with a new order number for the new finger print scans? Or can I still use my original one?
Thanks 🙏
NEW:
Hello everyone thanks for your advice, I decided to try one more time at USPS and when I got there to try again, he said I needed a new D order number thing. So I had to call the FBI customer service (click 5 on the keypad to talk to a person) and he told me he'd get me a fee waiver (YAY) and to try again. Once I get my fingerprints in, he told me to call the customer service again so they can ensure everything's ok.
The only thing with the fee waiver is the FBI have to consult with USPS who will then send it to me, which may take a couple days.
I've emailed my JET consultant to let her know, in case anything wrong happens again.
Hope this can help someone else in a similar position!
Good luck!
